Martin Siddiqui brings extensive leadership and financial expertise gained across renewable energy platforms, global banking institutions, and academic research. Most recently, he serves as CEO of W Power Storage GmbH in Heidelberg with a strategic partnership with the European Infra team of the renowned global alternative asset manager ICG.

At W Power he oversees a vertically integrated battery energy storage platform covering land acquisition, permitting, engineering, construction, and operations. Prior to this, he co-founded and led Tion Renewables AG, guiding the company’s strategic development, funding activities from early-stage raises to EQT-backing, and international expansion across multiple European markets.

Earlier in his career, Martin held roles at J.P. Morgan in Global Corporate Banking and gained experience at financial institutions including Goldman Sachs and KPMG. Alongside his professional work, he pursued academic research and teaching in economics, earning a PhD in Macroeconomics from Zeppelin University and a Diplom-Volkswirt degree from the University of Mannheim.

At Penomo, Martin advises on how complex infrastructure financing actually works from the inside - how institutional infrastructure players evaluate risk, allocate capital, and structure transactions across the lifecycle of a project - and shape CredOS for power users.

His perspective directly informs how CredOS is built, ensuring our product reflects real underwriting standards, capital allocation discipline, and institutional decision-making processes. In addition, Martin brings a strong network across investment banking, private equity, and infrastructure platforms, in particular energy platforms, strengthening our ability to connect product design with market reality.

Having worked across M&A, structured finance, and platform building in the energy space, I’ve seen how much execution quality and speed depends on process discipline and information accuracy.
